celebratory Flower Paintings

Earlier this year we celebrated our twentieth wedding anniversary.

To mark the occasion, I found a photograph of my wedding bouquet and painted it, it so that it may once again come to life - only this time on the wall instead of in an album.

My clients saw my painting and began to ask me to paint their wedding flowers of yester-year.

I dearly loved making these paintings for them and decided to open my books for further commissions. They make beautiful anniversary gifts, special mementos of an incredible day and, I’d love to paint yours too.

Please see below for gallery of past work and my commission process.

How it works

  • To make my paintings, I work from 6-8 photographs that you provide.

I don’t need originals, smartphone snapshots are fine.

I prefer to select the size of your painting depending on your flower arrangement. I’ll need to have creative freedom to make the best painting I can (they won’t be too huge, or too small I promise.) If you are limited on wall space, please let me know when sending your photographs and I’ll do my best.

Your painting will be contemporary and as beautiful as I can make it, I may add some embellishments to make your painting complete.

  • I like to give myself around 4 - 6 weeks to paint. This includes preparation, painting and drying time. If you would like your painting in haste, please let me know when we first chat, I will always do my best to accommodate you.

Upon your initial enquiry, I will give you an idea of my diary and available painting times.

  • WhatsApp is a great tool to keep in communication.

When your painting is underway, I will message you and either send along some photographs - or ask for a good time to video call, so that we might chat as we view your painting together.

If you don’t have whatsapp, don’t worry, email works just as well.

Photographs of your painting will also be sent after video calling.

  • Upon viewing your flowers and making some suggestions of how best to represent on canvas, I will email you a price. Once agreed, 50% is due before painting commences, the second half will be due before your painting leaves my studio.

I also offer gift vouchers, please email me for details.

  • I package up your commission and organise a courier, this is all included in the cost of your painting.

  • As is the norm, as the artist, I get to keep the copyright of all art I create. You, of course, own the painting. I am happy to make greeting cards, thank you-notes and small prints of your painting for you - best to chat this over together.

I would love to use your painting (once you have approved it) to share on my social channels and add to my portfolio of paintings. Sometimes these may be of use in the future for licensing, portfolio sales or other, but I will keep you informed along the way.

Please contact me if you have any other questions about a commission.
